How to send a parcel for delivery

It’s so easy to send a parcel from anywhere in the UK with us – our door to door delivery service can be all be booked from the comfort of your own home, by filling in your details online using our super-simple booking form.

Arrange collection of your parcel from your home or work address on a day to suit you – you’ll also be given a collection timeslot so you won’t have to wait in all day. If you can’t be in on the day the parcel has to be sent, we can pick it up from a designated safe place or neighbour (you can tell us where the safe place is when you book) and our driver will collect during the standard collection time window.
Alternatively, drop your parcels off at one of our 50+ depots if that suits you better and you’ll save yourself a tidy £1.30 per consignment (parcel) in the process.
When booking your parcel, you can specify the cover amount to suit the goods you’re sending – as standard, we provide cover on UK deliveries to £25 and international deliveries to £50, but you can increase the level of cover as required.
International parcel deliveries usually require additional paperwork for customs clearance – especially those countries outside the EU – but during the process of booking in your parcel, we will automatically provide you with any forms that need your attention, so don’t worry.

International delivery prices: Our cheapest international delivery prices start at just £8.25* (ex VAT).

For many countries, you can choose from DHL Parcel Connect, DHL Parcel International, Road Economy Delivery and Worldwide Air Delivery options which affect the cost to send your parcel. The size and weight also is a factor; we use volumetric weight to determine the final price, calculated as follows; length x width x height (in centimetres) divided by 5000.

If the volumetric weight exceeds the actual weight of your parcel, the cost will be the volumetric weight price. We’ll work it all out for you, don’t worry – just enter the correct weight and dimensions of your parcel when getting your quote or making your booking.

For international deliveries, the time varies from country to country but as a guide, we deliver to many European countries in as little as 1-2 days* and some rest of the world locations in just 2-4 days*. Size and weight limits for parcel delivery with ipostparcels

The largest parcel dimensions you can send through our network is 70cm (l) x 70cm (w) x 70cm (d) with a maximum weight of 25kg. If you’ve got a large parcel to send, we recommend you read sending large and heavy parcels for more information on sending these bigger items.

Items that can’t be delivered by post

ipostparcels will carry most items through our network, however, it’s important to note there are some restricted and prohibited goods which means there are definitely some items you can’t send through the mail.
