Sending fluids in the post
Thinking of
sending a food parcel or hamper to a friend or loved one? Make sure you read the ipostparcels guide before you do for important advice and legislations.
It is ipostparcels policy to not carry any fluids or liquids through its network, either for UK or international delivery. This includes liquids of any kind;
-
alcohol
-
non-alcoholic beverages
-
paints and inks
-
biological fluid samples
-
lighter fluid
-
flammable liquids
-
liquid cosmetics, nail polish, varnish, or gels
-
perfumes and aftershaves
-
poisons or pesticides
Not only is it against ipostparcels policy to ship liquids of any kind, it is often not allowed to import liquids (particularly alcoholic beverages) into other countries.
Liquids cannot be carried by ipostparcels under any circumstances, and it is the responsibility of the sender to ensure no liquids are sent. There are a number of items unable to be sent through the ipostparcels network – make sure you check the
UK Prohibited Items and
International Prohibited Items lists before you book your parcel for delivery with us.
Any person sending liquids with ipostparcels may have their order cancelled without notice or refund. If any liquids are dispatched into our network, they will travel at the risk of the sender and any cover provided by us (either standard or extended liability) may be invalidated. If your parcel causes damage to the parcels of other senders, we may recover the costs of repairing such damage from you.
You should also be aware that every country we deliver to have their own prohibited and restricted items lists – further information can be found on each individual country page.
