UAE Prohibitions & Restrictions
Virtually all consignments to the United Arab Emirates are subject to a customs duty upon entrance. Any omissions are specified in the laws that refer to importations to the UAE. The rudimentary duty fee is five per cent of the consignment's value. However some goods, such as alcohol and cigarettes, have a much higher duty fee- as much as 50 to 100 per cent.
To send goods to the UAE, proper documentation is required; this can include the original invoice pertaining to the shipment, a certificate of origin, the bill of entry, and a customs duty receipt or exemption certificate. If you’re sending shipments that contain printed material or media, books, music and movies you can expect your consignment to come under very close inspection, censored and face them possibly being banned from importation if the government agency finds them to be against the value of the nation.
Shipments that include medications need to be permitted by the Ministry of Health for import. Pets and animals may be subject to quarantine and should have current veterinary records.

About the United Arab Emirates

|
The United Arab Emirates sometimes simply called the Emirates or the UAE, was established in December 1971, the country is a federation of seven emirates.
Dubai International Airport was the busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic from January to May 2013, overtaking London Heathrow. This airport is also used to handling a large amount of cargo from all around the world, so your parcel will be in safe hands. There are parts of the United Arab Emirates which are some of the most developed, diverse and audacious in the world, such as the Dubai Marina. However in the western and southern regions there are some parts which remain largely undeveloped, and this is reflected in their roads, with many residents choosing to use airplanes as the main mode, or alternative means of transport.
The UAE's oil reserves are the seventh-largest in the world, With the exception of Dubai, most of the UAE is dependent on oil revenues. Dubai is the fifth most popular tourism destination in the world, and holds up to 66% share of the UAE's tourism economy.
