Australia is one of the oldest countries on the planet and is a constitutional monarchy with Queen Elizabeth as its head of state, hence why Australia's national flag comprises the Union Jack (along with the Commonwealth Star and the Southern Cross).
Popular tourist destinations include the Great Barrier Reef which is the world’s largest coral reef and can be viewed from space, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Red Centre which is sacred to the Aboriginal people and Kangaroo Island.

We delivered some laptops which were needed for training purposes; we collected the laptops from one restaurant and delivered to the next and so on, just in time for their training workshops.
Whilst on his delivery round, Parcel Pete decided to buy £50’s vouchers for Jamie’s Italian for one lucky winner which can be used at any of the Jamie’s restaurants across the UK!
So if you fancy your chances of winning, make sure you enter our competition.

Get the strawberries and pimms on the go, it’s that time of year again…yes that’s right it’s Wimbledon! Here at ipostparcels.com we’ve been keeping you up to date on all things Wimbledon on our Facebook and Twitter page, even Parcel Pete’s had a bit of tennis makeover too!
In keeping with the whole tennis spirit of things we thought we’d look into some of the traditions that help make Wimbledon the most popular tennis tournament to date.
Grass courts:
Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and has been played since 1877. It’s regarded as one of the most prestigious out the ‘Four Grand Slams’ and is the only tennis tournament still played on a grass court which is the original surface for the sport.
Strawberries & Cream:
Forget hotdogs and burgers, strawberries and cream are the typical stall food at Wimbledon. Dating back to the origins of Wimbledon 1877, they signified the start of summer.
The Rain:
Wimbledon just wouldn’t be Wimbledon without the rain! It almost always rains at least once during the two weeks Wimbledon is on for. The rain disrupts play and the courts need to be covered up, however in 2009 Centre Court had a purpose built electronic roof fitted to it so play could continue through the rain.
All White:
All players must stick to a strict dress code of an all-white outfit. Roger Federer famously wore trainers with an orange sole whilst playing and was pulled up by the organisers.
Royal Patronage:
Wimbledon is a favourite amongst the Royals and they’ve been attending since 1907. The Duke of Kent is the president of the All England Club and players are to courtesy when entering and exiting centre court if the Queen or Prince of Wales is sitting in the Royal Box.
So there’s some of the most well-known traditions of Wimbledon and help make it what it is today. Parcel Pete’s a huge fan of it too so why not join in on the conversation on our Twitter and Facebook page.

Researching holidays, finding out where to go and what time of the year can be time consuming. ipostparcels.com have taken a look into this and have put together a little holiday timeline which will help advise you on where’s best to go, at specific times of the year.
Spring Break
Spring’s a great time of the year to visit places such as Morocco, Egypt and Italy, all short haul flights and nice and warm. African Safaris are also cheap this time of the year due to it being the wet season.
Summer Holidays
We don’t always get as much sun as we’d like during the summer season in the UK and some other destinations can be too hot for example Dubai and Egypt can be unbearably hot. Why not try Europe; you’ll get gorgeous weather, culture and landscapes from the likes of Sicily and Sardinia. Italy is also a personal favourite of our top delivery man, Parcel Pete.
Autumn Days
Temperatures become a lot more reasonable during the autumn term for destinations such as Dubai. You can still get a tan without being uncomfortably hot. We also recommend the Far East, they’ll be coming out of their wet season towards the end of autumn and the likes of Thailand and Malaysia are a must.
Winter Warmers
Escape the winter blues to warmer climes like Barbados, Jamaica, Cuba and Mexico. Prices may be slightly high but definitely worth it for the gorgeous beaches and crystal clear sea. If not, skiing is great this time of the year in Europe.
So there you have it, take a break from sending parcels and start booking your holidays, Parcel Pete certainly will be. Keep a look out on our Facebook and Twitter pages to see where in the world Parcel Pete will be visiting….
