Malaysia has much to offer visitors, a wealth of history and culture mixes together with stunning landscapes and modern cities.
Here are just some of the attractions which are simply too good to miss…
Negara
Wiki
Literally meaning "national park" in the native Malay language, Negara is one of the oldest tropical rain forests to be found anywhere in the world.
Ancient trees that have grown to enormous sizes feature alongside waterfalls and timeless pathways. Jungle treks include traversing the world's longest canopy walkways and several trails allow visitors to explore without a guide.
It is also home to many endangered species including the Asian elephant, tigers and leopards as well as many different species of birds, small deer and snakes.

Georgetown is situated on the north-east corner of Penang Island and is named after King George III of Great Britain.
The town still boasts many colonial-era 'shophouses' as it is officially recognised as having a unique architectural and cultural importance in the region and strict building controls are in place. Street hawkers bring a unique touch to the night life and the culture represent the facts that most of George Town's population is of Chinese origin.
Christ Church
Wiki
An 18th-century Anglican church in the city of Malacca is the oldest functioning Protestant church in the country and a very important historical and cultural artefact, as well as being a popular tourist attraction.
Laid out as a simple rectangle, the building is constructed in the classic Dutch Colonial architecture style, with its roof spanned by wooden beams that are all carved from a single tree.
Granite blocks that were originally used as ballast for merchant ships make up the paving of the interior flooring.
The Petronas Towers

The Twin Towers are the most famous skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur and were actually the tallest buildings in the world between the years of 1998 to 2004. They still hold the title of the world's tallest twin towers.
Over 88-floors, the towers were designed by Argentine architect César Pelli and are made of reinforced concrete with a steel and glass facade which contain motifs found in traditional Islamic art. There is also a 'sky bridge' that links the two towers on the 41st and 42nd floors.
Perhentian Islands

Just off the coast of north-eastern Malaysia and near the Thai border, the Perhentian Islands are extremely popular with travellers due to their wonderful beaches and excellent diving opportunities.
A range of cheap accommodation means that the two main islands, Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil (big and small respectively) are a perfect destination for anyone aiming to explore the country on a budget.
