Interesting uses for left over wrapping paper

Once the excitement of Christmas day has worn off, millions of houses up and down the country are left with a mountain of used wrapping paper.

While some will be ripped into tiny little pieces, other bits will survive and don’t necessarily need to make their way into the recycling.

Here we’ve got a few creative ideas that mean the leftover wrapping doesn’t need to embark on a one way journey to the bin...

Ready to send?

Left over wrapping paper could be turned into festive envelopes for the mountain of Christmas cards that need to be sent.

Alternatively, it could be used as excuse to make Christmas last a little bit longer by sending out thank you cards in the days immediately after the big day.

Frame it

If there’s a particularly bright design or something a little out of the ordinary, buying an inexpensive frame and putting it on the wall might brighten the house up a bit.

Granted it might look out of place in the middle of the summer, but for next Christmas, you’ll be more than prepared to get into the spirit of things...

Christmas also means that New Year is just around the corner and left over wrapping makes ideal confetti – once its cut up small enough of course.

All that’s needed is a pair of scissors and you can celebrate in style when the clock ticks 12 on the 31st!
