Whether you love it or loathe it, wrapping presents is part of the parcel of Christmas. Some people see it as an excuse to show off their creative side, while others simply can’t wait to get it over and done with so that they can tuck into the minced pies and mulled wine.
Whichever camp you fall into, you’re probably aware of your skills so what better way to judge them than by comparing them to the handiwork of others?
Well that’s exactly what you can do here as we pick out some of the best (and a lot of the worst) Christmas wrapping.
The good, the bad, and the downright terrible…
We’ll start off with every Christmas wrapper’s worst nightmare – you’ve measured the paper carefully, cut it accordingly, and then this has happened…

O.K, we admit it. We were using the last scraps of paper because another trip to the supermarket to get more didn’t quite appeal, but there wasn’t quite enough…
But at least there was a little effort, which is more than can be said for this wrapping attempt!

Top marks for ingenuity. But zero for wrapping ability!
In terms of resourcefulness though, we struggled to find a better example than this.

At least the coloured felt-tip pens make it slightly better…
Some people just can’t wrap at all of course, and have no shame in hiding that fact.

Top marks for making sure it was colour-coded though and at least the entire package is wrapped. That is more than can be said for this gift…

The last example we could find wasn’t quite as bad as some of the rest, although wrapping something that can move is pretty impressive.
Everyone’s heard of sending pets as Christmas presents, but this is ridiculous…
While we’re still amazed that the cat sat there long enough to be wrapped, we don’t suggest that you try it at home. Cats have claws, and as anyone that’s ever been scratched will know – they hurt!
The creative aspect deserves some praise though, which is why we’ve also included this spectacular parcel – if you’ve got time on your hands and want to impress you r loved one, why not build them their gift box…

If that doesn’t quite appeal (or if you’re in a rush) then using normal wrapping will usually do the trick. Provided you don’t make the same mistakes as some of the people here, your presents should go down as well as the turkey dinner and accompanying Christmas drinks!
Of course, there’s always that one friend who fancies themselves as a bit of a perfectionist…

I wonder what this could be…
